Important Presentation -- The bad and the ugly in the drug world were graphically described for Curwensville's seventh, eighth and nith graders during a recent presentation by Steven Godfrey, Quehanna Boot Camp drug and alcohol counselor, right, and Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Bruce Morris. Both men said drug use is a major problem in this area. Trooper Morris said the majority of criminal activity reported is directly related to the drug trade. Mr. Godfrey described the effects of today's most popular drugs from alcohol to oxycodone. "Drugs mess with the pleasure centers of your brain and get it stuck on stupid," he told the young teens.
