Description : To protect and serve -- That's what police officers are hired to do and fourth and fifth grade students at St. Francis School heard a presentation by two Clearfield Borough Police Officers t otalk about their jobs as part of the Legal Eagles 3 program.. Officers Mike Titus and Samantha Hunter-Kephart told the students about foot and car chases, what 9-1-1 is for and what constitutes an emergency, and education and training requirements. The officers also demonstrated handcuffing procedures on Mark Falvo, chairman of Clearfield County Crime Stoppers, a sponsor for the program. The students were invited to look at the new borough police car and talked about police dogs, skateboarding and bike ruls. Jerry Nevling from the county sheriff's department was the guest speaker at Curwensville Elementary.
