Bar Association Award - The Clearfield County Bar Association received a County Bar Recognition Award during the 38th Annual Seminar of the Conference of County Bar Leaders recently in Hershey. Recognized for its Legal Eagles 3 and Junior Troopers Program, the CCBA is one of 23 local bar associations in the state being honored this year for sponsoring projects that work to improve the legal profession, justice system or community. The awards, which are non-competitive, are sponsored annually by the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Legal Eagles 3 was originated by the CCBA Young Lawyers Division, Clearfield County Crimestoppers and Curwensville Elementary School. The program, which debuted at Curwensville Elementary School three years ago and this year was expanded to St. Francis of Clearfield and Centre Elementary School, is designed for grades four and five and teaches students about various aspects of the law via guest speakers.
