Legal Eagle Proud -- The Clearfield County Commissioners signed a proclamation yesterday in honor and recognition of the Legal Eagles Program in the county. Legal Eagles is in its third year and is sponsored by Clearfield County Crimestoppers and the Young Lawyers. Recently the program ranked seventh in the country as well as armed forces bases throught the world for its activities. Mark Falvo, chariman of crimestoppers, said the program is now in three schools, Curwensville, St. Francis and Centre Elementary, and is geared toward fourth and fifth grade students. Junior Troopers also started in Curwensville this year. Judy Shirey, board member of crimestoppers, said Mr. Falvo has done a tremendous amount of work with the program to bring it into the community. Studens hear from speakers about their professions and education and learn about respect. Sitting, from left are Mr. Falvo and John Sughrue, commissioner.
