Legal Eagles 4, orginated and developed for the 5th Grade students at Curwensville Elementary School has received federal, state and local recognition from many officials and agencies. Many of the local businesses, first from Curwensville and Clearfield, and now, State College and Altoona, offer great financial support with contributions, guest appearances and news coverage. If not for these businesses, who are listed in the above advertisement, there would be no program for the students. (Courtesy of The Progress).

One of the most popular presentations so far this year was that by the Penn State Student-Athletes from Penn State University, namely, Lisa Downing (center), who plays for the Penn State Womens Tennis Team. Holly Musso(left of Downing),is a member of the Penn State Womens Soccer Team. Both athletes visited the Legal Eagle Program and the student body at St. Francis School in Clearfield to discuss setting goals, working hard, and making good decisions. The students at Clearfield St. Francis asked about how it felt to be away from home, their daily work-out and study routine, the rules that they must follow and and how important it is that they always maintain their grades at all times. Penn State University has been very kind with their Student-Athletic Program and stress that their speakers have a tremendous impact on area student-athletes. Both Linsay and Holly stressed the importance of grades, making the right choices, and to follow their dreams. They were also very helpful, personal and professional in their presentations. After their presentations, they signed autographs and talked one on one with each of the students. Mark A. Falvo, Esq. developer of Legal Eagles and the Chair of Clearfield County Crimestoppers looks on as the athletes made their presentation. (Photo by Clair Law of The Progress).
